The setup steps in brief. The timeline firms up in the fit check.
- Week 1
Step 1
Agree
Wholestay and the property
We check that your property is a fit and build a preview from your website, with your rooms, photos and look and example prices, before you commit to anything. Then we sign and set up the connections.
Includes
- Fit check
- Demo with your own property
- Contract and connections
- Weeks 2–3
Step 2
Build
Wholestay, the property reviews
We choose the products to sell together. We bring in photos and texts from your website and Mews and do the design and tracking. You review the content.
Includes
- Products and rules
- Partner products (optional)
- Content and translations
- Design and widget
- Tracking
- Weeks 4–5
Step 3
Test
Wholestay and reception
We make complete test bookings in the Mews demo environment and one real booking that is refunded. Then we train reception.
Includes
- Test week
- Staff training
- Launch day
Step 4
Switch
Wholestay and your web agency
We install the code on your website and redirect the old booking links to the new engine. New bookings come through Wholestay from launch day on.
Includes
- Launch
- Review after 30 days
Who does what
We do the heavy lifting. You make the decisions and review.
Wholestay
We do
- Connections to Mews, Bókun and your other systems
- Photos, texts and translations from your website and Mews
- Installing the code and redirecting the old booking links
- Staff training and how-to videos
The property
You do
- Decide which rooms, packages and activities are sold
- Review the content and translations before launch
- Approve one code snippet or link on your website
- Check the notice terms of your current booking engine contract
What happens to the old engine
Bookings already made stay where they are, and we redirect the links you control.
Existing bookings
They stay in the old system and in Mews as they are. New bookings come through Wholestay from launch day, and old links are redirected to the new engine.
Old booking links
On launch day we redirect the old booking links on your website and Google Business Profile to the new engine.
Your website
Only once: we add one code snippet or link to your website. After that, the search bar's look is changed in the dashboard, with no need to touch the website.
Requirement
Yes. Wholestay runs on top of Mews: rooms, rates and availability come from Mews, and every booking is written back to it. If you use another PMS, tell us. We pick the next systems based on demand, but we don't promise a timeline.
